Pakistan, May 9 – Amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, China’s military is reportedly capitalizing on the aerial engagements to gather valuable intelligence.
U.S. officials have indicated that a Chinese-made Pakistani J-10 fighter jet downed at least two Indian aircraft, including a Rafale, during a recent clash. This engagement offers China a rare opportunity to evaluate the combat performance of its advanced weaponry and tactics.
China’s military modernization has enhanced its ability to closely monitor developments along its borders and in the Indian Ocean. With a vast satellite network—including 115 dedicated to intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance—China is able to track military activities in real-time, analyzing India’s air defense strategies and response mechanisms.
Additionally, China’s presence in the Indian Ocean, through space-tracking ships and coordinated fishing fleets, strengthens its intelligence-gathering operations. Pakistan’s military collaboration with China further facilitates this intelligence exchange. The use of Chinese-made J-10 jets and other advanced defense systems allows China to directly assess the effectiveness of its equipment in combat.
