TEHRAN, June 15, 2026 (The Voice News) — Iran has confirmed that an agreement has been reached to end its conflict with the United States and Israel, with Iranian officials saying a permanent cessation of hostilities will take effect from tonight.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced that the deal would bring an immediate and lasting end to ongoing military operations across several fronts, including Lebanon, according to statements carried by Iranian state media and reported by Israeli media outlet The Times of Israel.
Iran’s diplomatic mission in India said in a post on X that all military actions related to the conflict would cease starting tonight. The post also indicated that the process of lifting the U.S. naval blockade against Iran would begin immediately.
Speaking on Iranian state television, Gharibabadi said the agreement includes a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. The provision had previously been referenced in a statement issued by Pakistan’s prime minister.
He added that negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive final agreement would begin within the next 60 days. However, Tehran warned that it would respond appropriately if the other side violated the terms of the current arrangement.
“If a final agreement is ultimately reached, our primary focus will naturally be on the implementation of its provisions,” Gharibabadi said.
The announcement came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that an agreement had been finalized between Washington and Tehran. Trump stated that Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil shipments, and that U.S. naval restrictions on Iranian ports would be lifted. Iranian officials, however, did not mention the Strait of Hormuz in their public statements.
The reported agreement has raised concerns among Israeli officials, who were not directly involved in the negotiations. According to reports, some Israeli leaders fear the deal does not achieve key wartime objectives, including dismantling Iran’s nuclear weapons program, reducing its ballistic missile capabilities, ending support for regional proxy groups, and creating conditions for political change in Tehran.
